Superstar Lionel Messi of Inter Miami responded to Cesc Fabregas' decision to leave the game of professional football.
The former Spain international has retired and will now act as head coach of Como 1907's reserve teams.
At Barcelona, Messi and Fabregas were colleagues. They played together 123 times at Camp Nou, contributing to a total of 26 goals.
Messi praised the former Arsenal and Chelsea player on Instagram.
“You already know all the good things we think of both you and your family, @cescf4bregas.
“You are a crack and we are going to continue spending many moments together, we love you very much and we wish you all the best in your new stage friend!!! Big hug,” he wrote.
