Mateo Kovacic, a recent addition to Manchester City, told Ruben Dias the first thing about the rest of the team.
The triple was achieved by Pep Guardiola's team last season, possibly the best accomplishment in club history.
Kovacic, a midfielder from Croatia, joined City at the beginning of the summer transfer window, showing that they wasted no time in updating the team.
In a 5-3 friendly victory against Yokohama F. Marinos on Sunday in Tokyo, the 29-year-old, who cost City £25 million when he transferred from Chelsea, made his City debut.
The Croatian attacker brought up the subject shortly as he met his new teammates, according to City captain Dias.
Dias said: “Mateo [Kovacic] has just come in to City; we had our first conversation and he was like: ‘Wow, this is amazing how well you all get along’.
“He [Kovacic] has a lot to know but his first impressions show what he thinks. People can make jokes but accept to be made a joke of too.
“That friendly environment between us definitely helps us. But when the time comes, definitely we are together.
“Overall we have a very good environment between all of us.”
