What Trevoh Chalobah said after he wore Chelsea's captain armband for the first time

Trevoh Chalobah, a defender for Chelsea, has used his social media account to share his joy after being named team captain.

Chalobah wore the Chelsea armband for the first time during their 5-0 win against Wrexham. 

Upon taking over as manager of Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino has yet to choose a captain for the squad. However, the Argentine manager announced that he will choose his captain directly rather than using the customary practice of having players vote. 

If you remember, Cesar Azpilicueta, the captain of Chelsea, departed the team this offseason and joined Atletico Madrid. 

The Spanish international decided to leave Chelsea and go back to his own country. 

Blues academy player Trevoh Chalobah uploaded a photo of himself with the captain's armband along with the message, "An honour to captain my boyhood club. Ready for the next one!"
