This week, Mount completed his £60 million move from Chelsea to Man United, ending his 18-year relationship with the west London team.
The Blues decided to sell the England international because he was set on leaving and had one year remaining on his deal.
“When I talk about the future, it is about the players in the squad,” Pochettino said at a press conference on Friday when asked if he would like to have Mount in his squad.
“He [Mount] is a Manchester United player now. I don’t know what happened in the past. We need to be focused on our players and move on and try to build a nice story.”
