Yassine 'Bono' Bounou, a goalkeeper from Morocco, was given a warm welcome by his new Al Hilal colleagues after transferring to the Saudi Arabian club during the summer transfer window.

The 31-year-old signed a three-year contract with Al Hilal after leaving Spanish powerhouse Sevilla.

On Friday, Bounou participated in team training for the first time. He may make his debut against Al Feiha on Saturday.

Social media users posted pictures of Bono beaming with excitement as Al Hilal players gave him the customary greeting.

The former Wydad AC goalkeeper had a fruitful career in Spain, playing for Atletico Madrid, Real Zaragoza, Girona, and Sevilla. He was the best goalkeeper in La Liga in 2021 and was instrumental in Sevilla's victory against AS Roma to win the Europa League the previous year.

At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Bounou was one of Morocco's top players as the North Africans made history by becoming the first nation from their continent to get to the semifinals.
