Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta reveals why he benched Gabriel Magalhães against Crystal Palace

Mikel Arteta has finally provided update on the future of Gabriel Magalhães at Arsenal. 

The 24-year-old hasn't started Arsenal’s two games played so far in the Premier League season. 

Recall that Gabriel Magalhães was left on the bench against Nottingham Forest as well as Crystal Palace last night. 

The Brazilian played a huge role in Arsenal’s campaign last season as they finished second in the league. 

Mikel Arteta has revealed that he has no intention of selling the player despite huge interest from Saudi Arabia side, Al Ittihad 

It was gathered that the president of Al Ittihad held meeting with Gabriel agent concerning a possible move this summer. 

Speaking on reason for leaving him out of starting XI Arteta confirms: "Out of the starting XI due to offers? Nothing at all, it was just about games that we were expecting" 

Arsenal secured their back to back wins in the Premier League after 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Monday night 

Martin Odegaard scored the only goal of the game from penalty spot as ten men Gunners held on despite nervy finish. 

Arteta added:"trust me, Gabriel is gonna play a lot of games".
