- Folarin Balogun's transfer to Ligue 1 club AS Monaco has been officially announced as yet another sale by Arsenal.
Folarin Balogun will be joining AS Monaco after leaving Arsenal in a deal that shatters the club's record selling price.
The USMNT star made his way back to Ligue 1, where he spent last season playing on loan for Reims. He scored a total of 21 league goals to take first place.
It's known that Arsenal was always eager to let Balogun depart this summer for the appropriate fee. In the wake of the departures of Pablo Mari, Granit Xhaka, Auston Trusty, and Matt Turner, the agreement represents the Gunners' fifth permanent sale.
Recall that in the dying hours of the 2017 summer transfer window, Liverpool paid Manchester City £35 million for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but Monaco's acquisition of Balogun surpasses that figure.
