David Raya has been transferred from Brentford to Arsenal for the duration of the current season.

Following Matt Turner's departure for Nottingham Forest, a 27-year-old goalie will join the Gunners as a backup.

Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya will face off for the starting spot for Arsenal.

The 27-year-old appeared in all 38 of the Bees' Premier League games last season and has been a crucial component of their squad in previous years.

Raya was reportedly recruited by the Mikel Arteta side on a loan deal for 3 million pounds with the option to make the move permanent for 27 million pounds.

David Raya, on the other hand, has agreed to a new two-year contract with Brentford that includes a further one-year club option. He will then join Arsenal on loan for the 2023–24 season.

Next summer, Arsenal will have the option to make the move permanent.
