Ex Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon set to retire from professional football

Gianluigi Buffon, a great goalie from Italy, has opted to wrap up his playing career. 

At the age of 45, Gianluigi Buffon is anticipated to declare his retirement from football and end his agreement with Parma.

After turning 45 in January, Buffon is prepared to declare his retirement and end his agreement with Parma.

He began his professional career in the Parma youth academy and finished it as a free agent in 2021 after also playing for Juventus twice and Paris Saint-Germain in the 2018–19 campaign.

The goalie accumulated 657 Serie A games, 124 Champions League games, and a record 176 senior Italy caps.
