Jorginho is not expected to leave the club this summer, despite interest from other teams.
Prior to the 2023–24 season, the 31-year-old is eager to continue at the Emirates and compete for a spot on the squad.
Last season, during his first six months with the team, Jorginho made 14 Premier League appearances for Arsenal.
If you remember, he was acquired by the Gunners in the January transfer window from Chelsea, and while only managing to provide one assist, he shown flashes of his skill and potential influence on the field.
Jorginho seems dedicated to remain at Arsenal and succeeding under Mikel Arteta's leadership, however.
Despite having quality midfield rivals like Thomas Partey and Declan Rice to contend with, Jorginho is adamant about competing for a spot in the starting eleven. He is a crucial component of Arteta's tactical strategies because of his background and technological expertise.
In addition, Jorginho's choice could have been motivated by his desire for consistent playing time before the World Cup in 2018. He will surely want to impress Italian national team coach Roberto Mancini in order to earn a spot in the team for the competition.
