Wolverhampton's manager, Julen Lopetegui, has resigned from his position.

Less than a year after joining the Premier League team, the former Real Madrid and Sevilla coach has made the decision to quit Wolves.

According to reports, Lopetegui has been open about his dissatisfaction with the club's summertime lack of investment.

Gary O'Neil, a former West Ham player, is the top candidate to succeed Lopetegui, and it has been claimed that Wolves have spoken with him.

Wolverhampton will play Manchester United for opening the 2023–24 Premier League season.

The club's administration will make every effort to have a new manager introduced before the trip to Old Trafford stadium.
