Kepa Arrizabalaga set to join Real Madrid after agreeing to snub Bayern Munich

Kepa Arrizabalaga will soon sign with Real Madrid.

Kepa is almost ready to reject Bayern, claims Sky reporter Plettenberg! After the Courtois injury, he is now about to sign with Real Madrid.

Many names have been connected, but David De Gea and Yassine Bounou have received the most attention. The Real Madrid coaching staff had preferred the latter, but it now seems that neither will be coming.

Instead, according to Marca, Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga is close to signing on a season-long loan. Following the signing of fellow Spaniard Robert Sanchez, the 28-year-old is no longer the Premier League team's starting midfielder and may possibly go to Madrid.

Kepa had been in discussions to join Bayern Munich, but it now seems like a transfer to Real Madrid is more likely. Given that Courtois will hold his starting position after he recovers from injury, a one-year loan agreement makes a lot of sense, but it is unclear if the former Athletic Club goalkeeper is the best option.
