Lauren James, a member of the Lionesses, received a straight red card for stamping on Michelle Alozie, a star from Nigeria.The Chelsea attacker, who has been England's standout at the World Cup this summer, lost her composure in Brisbane as the game headed into overtime.
Michelle Alozie had fallen following a collision with James, and as the Nigerian star was getting up from the collision, James placed her stud into her opponent's back.
James, 21, was first given a yellow card for the action, but the referee later altered her mind and sent James out after being summoned to the monitor by VAR.
