Man City manager Pep Guardiola hugs Kyle Walker after dinner, where he urged him to remain at the club

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, embraced Kyle Walker during a meal where he may have convinced him to remain with the team.

On Friday night, the two spent two and a half hours dining at the upscale Japanese restaurant MUSU in Manchester.

It was gathered that dinner between Guardiola and Walker took place amid rumors that England defender may quit City this summer for German powerhouses Bayern Munich.

Walker, 33, has a new contract on the table from City, and Pep has stated that he wants to keep the right-back with the team for the current campaign.

Meanwhile Manchester City will face Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday evening at Wembley. 

It's uncertain if Kyle Walker will start the game against the Citizens in the game which will kick off at 4pm GMT.
