Man United supporters protest against Greenwood's reinstatement to the squad.
Manchester United supporters demonstrated against Mason Greenwood's possible return to the club before of their season opener against Wolves.
The 21-year-old was detained in January 2022, and United suspended him with pay after allegations of rape and abuse were brought against him.
The Crown Prosecution Service, however, said in February 2023 that the charges had been dismissed as a result of 'important witnesses' ceasing to participate.
Then, in a brief statement, United said that they will launch an internal inquiry to determine his future, which is still up in the air. A conclusion on whether or not he will stay at the club is anticipated soon.
Yet, a number of United supporters made their opinions known outside Old Trafford before to tonight's Premier League match against Wolves at 8 o'clock. They protested at the same time as a different gathering of club fans who were opposed to the Glazers' ownership.
The fans gathered outside the stadium next to the Holy Trinity monument and carried a sign that read:
'Female fans demand no Greenwood return - end violence against women.'
