Over the first three rounds of the season, the Reds have collected six points out of a possible nine, most recently beating Nottingham Forest 3-2 last weekend.
Meanwhile, Erik Den Hag's men will play the Gunners at the Emirates stadium on Sunday in their match day 4 fixture.
Raphael Varane will not play against Arsenal on Sunday owing to an injury that will keep him out for a few weeks. He was injured during the win against Forest and was replaced at halftime.
Erik ten Hag could offer a further information on Rasmus Hojlund's availability on Friday.
The international player from Denmark is yet to make his Reds debut after joining from Atalanta this summer because of a minor injury he had during preseason with his old team.
In addition, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Luke Shaw, who missed the Forest game due to injury, are expected to miss this weekend's Arsenal encounter as well.
