Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, identified Christopher Nkunku as the Blues player his team missed against Liverpool.

Pochettino talked after Sunday's 1-1 Premier League match between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

Remember that Nkunku missed the game because of an injury he acquired this summer before the start of the current Premier League season?

After the match, Pochettino spoke with Sky Sports and stated, “It’s true that we miss a player like [Christopher] Nkunku who was perfect in combination with him [Jackson]. They were doing really well in the pre-season.”

One of this summer's new Chelsea signings, Christopher Nkunku came from RB Leipzig.

It will be up to Mauricio Pochettino to find a workaround for the French striker's absence owing to a knee injury.

He added, “The plan was to play [Nkunku] with [Jackson], but we need to adapt.

“These things happen in football and we need to always be positive.”
