Pep Guardiola is willing to continue leading Manchester City for a another season, or he may decide to depart the Etihad Stadium before his current deal ends.
Guardiola extended his contract with Manchester City by two years in December, putting an end to concerns over his future and extending it until the conclusion of the 2024–25 season.
If you remember, Guardiola guided City to a third straight Premier League title, the FA Cup, and a first-ever Champions League victory last season.
Meanwhile, Guardiola will begin attempting to defend City's triple after a well-earned vacation, but first, he must face Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday.
Guardiola said he has no plans to leave the team after winning the Champions League ahead of the season opener against Arsenal in the Community Shield, and even hinted that he would extend his contract into 2025.
“I signed a contract for another two years because I feel comfortable - and nothing has changed whether we won (the treble) or didn’t win," Guardiola said.
“I am happy and the people are happy, the board and the hierarchy especially, because they decide in the end which manager is going to lead this group of players.
“If they are satisfied, I am still satisfied. I want to defend what we won and maybe at the end of the season, if I am tired, we will talk with the club - or maybe extend more.”
