Lionel Messi pulled off yet another spectacular celebration after scoring twice in Inter Miami's 3-1 victory against MLS rival Orlando City.

The 36-year-old, who put on again brilliant performance at the DRV PNK Stadium in Florida, advanced his team into the Leagues Cup Round of 16.

The opening goal of the game was scored by Lionel Messi in the seventh minute, when he struck home from close proximity after being found by Robert Taylor.

Orlando then quickly restored parity, and Messi, the captain, then displayed his leadership skills right after the interval.

When Inter was given a penalty, it was anticipated that Messi would shoot from 12 yards out, but he chose to let teammate Josef Martinez make the goal.

Martinez had yet to score in the Leagues Cup before the match against Orlando, but he converted his penalty kick into the bottom left corner.

Once again switching roles, the Venezuelan player assisted Messi in scoring his second goal of the game in the 72nd minute.

In the opening stages of the counterattack, Messi, who has now scored five goals in three games for Inter, connected with Taylor down the left wing, who found an open Martinez in the penalty area.

He then gave the 2022 World Cup victor a selfless square pass, and from a distance of six yards, the latter volleyed the ball with his right foot into the bottom corner.
