Gary O'Neil, the manager of Wolves, claims that the body of the official apologized to him after his team's error against Manchester United lost them the game.
After the 1-0 loss at Old Trafford, O'Neil said that PGMOL official Jon Moss had acknowledged they had made a critical mistake.
Andre Onana, the goalie for United, got into a fight at the end of the game.
After challenging Sasa Kalajdzic during injury time, the Cameroonian was spared punishment.
While VAR Michael Salisbury investigated it but did not judge it a clear and apparent mistake, referee Simon Hooper failed to give a penalty.
After the game, O’Neil accused Onana of “nearly taking a forward’s head off” after the United’s debutant
He added: “I thought he was going over to the screen at first but unfortunately he booked me and not Onana.
“But fair play to Jon Moss afterwards for coming out and apologising. I understand the rules [of sticking with the on field decisions as much as possible], but I don’t fully accept it.
“I have spoken to the officials about it already. It is a difficult decision for the on-field official, we can’t just leave it. If we are all saying it then he needs to have a look.”
