Romelu Lukaku's transfer to Chelsea from AS Roma has been finalized.
According to reports, the clubs have agreed to a €5 million loan until the conclusion of the current campaign. There are reportedly no conditions in the agreement that would allow the Serie A team to turn the loan into a permanent one.
According to reports, the 30-year-old took a salary of €7.5 million a season to go to the Stadio Olimpico.
Fabrizio Romano, a sports writer, affirms Roma wants the Romelu Lukaku transfer completed by today.
He tweeted, "Negotiations took place also on Sunday night with Chelsea and player side after €5m loan fee proposal. Roma are really pushing to get it sealed. No mandatory buy clause included in the deal."
Lukaku was wanted by Inter again, but they lost interest when Juventus, a rival team, was said to be interested in signing him. That deal fell through when Lukaku became impatient with Juventus' slow negotiation process with Chelsea.
According to Lukaku's remarkable Serie A record, he helped Inter score 76 goals in 97 games over the course of three seasons and two loan stints which means settling down in Serie A for another spell wouldn't be difficult.
