"Stop tinkering with the team" - Piers Morgan blames Mikel Arteta for Arsenal setback with against Fulham

Piers Morgan has advised Mikel Arteta to quit 'tinkering' with Arsenal's lineup and tactics.

Despite the Gunners' unblemished start to the season, which saw them win the Community Shield and then record back-to-back victories in the Premier League, Arteta made the decision to alter his game strategy for Fulham's visit.

This includes leaving Eddie Nketiah off the roster and adding Leandro Trossard as a false nine, resulting in the Gunners starting XI consisting entirely of midfielders—there are no strikers—but having two number nines—Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus—sitting on the bench.

Talk show host Morgan wrote on X:
"Bad result, poor performance, and it’s mainly Arteta’s fault.

"Tried to be too clever with his tinkering and we paid the price."

The media personality then urged Mikel Arteta to start players who are in form for their upcoming game.

Arsenal will host Manchester United at the Emirates stadium in their next Premier league match before the international break.

Piers Morgan added "Stop tinkering and start with this XI against United: Ramsdale, White, Gabriel, Saliba, Zinchenko, Rice, Odegaard, Partey, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus."
