Bruno Fernandes named Man Utd's August Player of the Month

Bruno Fernandes has been selected as Manchester United's player of the month for August following the public poll. 

Manchester United have earned six out of a potential nine points despite giving poor performances in their first three games of the new season.

United defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest at home, but in between, they also suffered a dismal loss at Tottenham.

Bruno Fernandes won the club's first Player of the Month award of the year because he entered the season with his customary zeal and dedication.

Raphael Varane's tip of the winning goal against Wolves, which gave United its first goal of the year, was greatly influenced by Fernandes.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was allowed free inside the box by his impudent scooped pass, and Varane expertly met the full-back's lofted ball to guarantee that United began the game with a victory.

Bruno Fernandes greatest effort, however, unquestionably came in United's thrilling comeback triumph against Forest on Saturday.

After United fell down by two goals in the first four minutes at Old Trafford, a real captain's effort turned the game around.

Despite the captain's outstanding performance this month, Fernandes narrowly defeated defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka with 42% of the vote.
