Jurrien Timber, an Arsenal player, posted a photo of himself on crutches to provide an update on his injury rehab.
The 22-year-old was one of Arsenal's most outstanding players during preseason matches. He moved to north London during the summer from Ajax for an initial £34 million cost.
On his debut against Nottingham Forest, Timber was forced off with an injury only a few minutes into the second half.
It is unknown if Timber will recover in time to play again this season after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury, but Arsenal has revealed that the versatile defender will need surgery.
After his operation went well, Timber posted a first photo of himself using crutches on social media on Friday. The message was just the Dutch word for Friday, "Vrijdag."
