Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, an assistant nurse, has been named as the main suspect in Mohbad's death by the Lagos State Police Command.
Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police, said Ogedengbe gave the 27-year-old singer "multiple and highly potent" injections at a news conference on Friday, October 6.
Owohunwa said that the injections, which included Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and the antibiotic Cetrazone, were given on September 12 at Mobad's home.
According to reports, the drugs caused an instant response that included vomiting, goosebumps, and convulsion.
He claimed that Ogedengbe was unqualified to serve in the capacity of a home nurse and that she did so carelessly and outside of a clinical setting.
Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy, and one other person were also listed as suspects in the case by the CP.
The singer, whose actual name is Ilerioluwa Aloba, is being investigated, and he noted that so far 26 witnesses have been named.
He said that on September 10, Mohbad went to a concert with his boyhood buddy Primeboy, whose violent altercation with Mohbad resulted in the late singer's injuries.
