It was gathered that the wife of Alex Ferguson died unexpectedly suddenly at the age of 84, leaving behind her husband and their three kids.
Apparently, Lady Cathy, then Holding, and Alex began dating in 1964. They subsequently got married in 1966, and two years later, Mark and Darren and Jason, twins, were born.
Before he left his position and his football career in 2013 to spend more time with her, she supported her husband during his tenure at Old Trafford.
Alex Ferguson won 38 trophies over his 26 years with the team, including two UEFA Champions League wins, five FA Cups, and 13 Premier League championships.
