In a sincere post on social media, Lionel Messi praised Miami's supporters and the team for their help throughout the 2023 season.
On his Instagram page, Lionel Messi thanked the Miami residents for their "incredible moments together" in a statement. With Messi rocketing to the top of the statistical charts in most aspects of the game, the Argentine led the team as they won the Leagues Cup, advanced to the US Open Cup final, and came close to making the MLS 2023 playoffs.
The Argentine international missed the bulk of Inter Miami's games at the conclusion of the season due to an injury sustained while serving his country. The Herons saw a decline in form during this period, and as a result, their playoff aspirations were dashed by a loss to Charlotte FC on Decision Day.
Inter Miami will go to China as part of their upcoming postseason trip. In November, the MLS team will face off against Qingdao Hainiu and Chengdu Roncheng in what will undoubtedly be a very profitable matchup for everyone involved.
