Manchester City Striker's Absence Confirmed Due to Lingering Ankle Injury

Manchester City's prominent striker, Erling Haaland, has officially announced his unavailability for Norway's upcoming clash against Scotland in the Euro qualifiers.

This decision comes as a result of the 23-year-old's ongoing struggle to recover from an ankle injury sustained just days ago.

Haaland took to his social media platforms to confirm his absence from the Sunday match, citing his current physical condition as the reason for his withdrawal.

He captioned, "Unfortunately, I am missing tomorrow’s game against Scotland. Wishing the boys all the best. Now treatment and trying to get back ASAP"

Halaand recent substitute appearance, prompted by a foot injury during the encounter against Faroe Islands, further complicated his fitness for the forthcoming fixture.

With hopes pinned on a swift recovery, the talented striker aims to regain full fitness for his club, Manchester City, once the international break concludes next week. However, uncertainties loom over his availability for City's high-stakes Premier League showdown against Liverpool following the break.
