The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared him the winner of the November 11 election.
Professor Abayomi Fasina, the Returning Officer for the election, announced the results earlier today, November 12. Governor Uzodinma, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), garnered a substantial 540,308 votes. His closest competitor, Emeka Anyanwu of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), trailed behind with a total of 71,503 votes, while Athan Achonu of the Labour Party secured 64,081 votes.
The outcome of the election solidifies Governor Uzodinma's mandate, as reflected in the significant margin between him and his rivals. The people of Imo state have spoken through their votes, reaffirming their confidence in Governor Uzodinma's leadership.
