Ilkay Gundogan joined his former Man City team mates to receive team of year award at Ballon d’Or

Manchester City won the 2023 Ballon d'Or award, and they were named the men's team of the year.

The Spanish coach led Manchester City to their first-ever triple, winning the Champions League for the first time, defending the Premier League championship, and reaching the FA Cup final.

The current Barcelona player, Ilkay Gundogan, attended the Ballon d'Or gala on Monday night.

Last season, the Germany international moved on a free transfer from Manchester City.

Gundogan helped Manchester City win the triple before he moved to Barcelona.

As Ruben Dias and his Man City colleagues were brought up to accept the Men's Club of the Year trophy, Dias gave İlkay Gündoğan a quick tap on the knee.

Dias acknowledged the performance and contribution of Gundogan for the team last season.
