Arsenal's Head Coach, Mikel Arteta, has shared crucial updates on the injury status of Thomas Partey, Jorginho, and Mohamed Elneny in anticipation of their upcoming Premier League clash with Liverpool.

As the Gunners prepare to face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, the stakes are high, with Arsenal holding just a one-point lead over their rivals in the Premier League standings.

In a media briefing on Friday, Mikel Arteta revealed that Thomas Partey will be sidelined for the game. The 31-year-old midfielder is still recovering from a groin injury that has kept him out of action for the past two months. Arteta stated, "Thomas Partey is still finalizing his rehab. He still hasn’t trained with the team yet."

On a more positive note, Arteta hinted at the potential return of Mohamed Elneny, who suffered an injury in the final UCL group stage match against PSV Eindhoven. Arteta expressed, "Mo Elneny will hopefully join us this afternoon to see how he feels about it. For the rest, no news."

However, there remains uncertainty surrounding Jorginho's availability for the match. Arteta commented, "Jorginho is still a doubt," leaving room for speculation about the midfielder's participation.

Meanwhile, long-term absentee Jurrien Timber continues his rehabilitation after tearing his ACL in his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest earlier in the season. Additionally, Takehiro Tomiyasu, grappling with a calf injury, is expected to make a potential return in January.

The defensive lineup faces challenges, but Arteta remains optimistic about navigating the hurdles as Arsenal looks to maintain their position in the league.
