Nigerian Influencer Daniel Regha Shares Candid Feedback on Wizkid's Recent Music Venture

Renowned Nigerian social media commentator, Daniel Regha, has offered his candid critique of Wizkid's latest musical endeavor, the EP titled "S2."

Earlier today, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, unveiled his four-track EP featuring collaborations with Wande Coal and Zlatan Ibile.

Regrettably, Daniel Regha expressed disappointment in the EP, asserting that it was excessively hyped and lacked lyrical excellence. Despite acknowledging the commendable beats and the inclusion of Wande and Zlatan, Regha voiced his dissatisfaction.

In a tweet, he remarked, "Wizkid should've opted for a compelling single instead of an EP. Soundman Vol. 2 was quite disappointing; beyond the impressive beats and vocals, the project is significantly overhyped."

Providing a rating of 3/10, Regha elaborated on his assessment. He criticized "Ololufe" as a feeble attempt at Amapiano, deemed "Energy" as lacking purpose, and found "Diamonds" devoid of novelty or emotional resonance. He acknowledged the merit of "IDK," attributing its appeal to Zlatan's verse and the background vocals. Additionally, he expressed surprise at the absence of a tribute track and questioned the absence of Davido despite their newfound friendship.

In conclusion, Regha summed up the S2 EP with a close rating of 3/10, emphasizing that his critique was intended without offense.

He tweeted: "Wizkid should've released a good single instead of an EP, Soundman Vol. 2 was quite d!sappointing; Asides the dope beats & good vocals, the project is greatly ¤verhyped. "Ololufe" was a poor attempt at something that sounds like Amapiano, "Energy" was po!ntless, while "Diamonds" has no new or emotionally engaging msg. "IDK" was good but mostly thanks to Zlatan's verse, combined with the background singer(s). Also, a tribute track would've been great, & it's surprising how Davido wasn't featured in any song despite their new-found friendship. The S2 EP is a close 3/10 tho. No offense."
