Napoli's Victor Osimhen Commits to Contract Extension with the Club
Napoli's Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen, has reached an agreement with the Italian club for a contract extension, as confirmed by renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Previously linked with potential discontent at the beginning of the season under former manager Rudi Gracia, Osimhen has found stability since the arrival of the new coach, paving the way for the contract renewal.
The extended deal is set to keep Osimhen at Napoli until June 2026, solidifying his future with the club. Osimhen notably contributed significantly to Napoli's success in the previous season, playing a pivotal role in clinching the Serie A title.
The 24-year-old striker outstanding performance led to being recognized as the Serie A Player of the Year, and recently, he was honored as the African Player of the Year by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Monday night.
Moreover, Osimhen's recent achievement marks a historic moment as he becomes the first Nigerian to claim the men's CAF award since Kanu Nwankwo in 1999, highlighting his exceptional talent and contribution to both club and country.
