Cádiz Wishes Stanley Nwabali a Speedy Recovery Ahead of AFCON Clash
Spanish La Liga outfit, Cádiz, has conveyed their best wishes for Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali's swift recuperation in time for Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) round of 16 encounter against Angola on Friday.

Cádiz also lauded Nwabali for his commendable performances at the AFCON, dubbing the Chippa United star as the 'GOAT' (Greatest of All Time).

It's worth recalling that Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro opted to designate Nwabali as his primary choice goalkeeper over Francis Uzoho at the commencement of the tournament.

Unfortunately, Nwabali suffered an injury during Nigeria’s AFCON round of 16 victory against Cameroon.

The 27-year-old was substituted by Uzoho in the 80th minute due to a suspected knee injury sustained from a collision with Cameroonian forward Georges-Kévin N’Koudou.

"All the luck in the world for GOAT Nwabali to recover in time for Nigeria’s next round in AFCON," tweeted the official account of Cádiz Club de Fútbol in Nigeria over the weekend.
