Victor Osimhen Shows Support as Boniface Bounces Back from Injury
Nigerian Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, expressed his reaction upon glimpsing images of his fellow teammate, Victor Boniface, resuming training with Bayer Leverkusen.
Victor Boniface had diligently worked to recover from a groin injury sustained during a Nigerian Super Eagles training session in Dubai for the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament.
Originally part of Jose Peseiro's Super Eagles squad for AFCON, Boniface had to withdraw due to the injury. Subsequently, he returned to Bayer Leverkusen, where a medical examination revealed a muscle-tendon injury in his right adductor area. He successfully underwent surgery on January 10 to aid in his recovery.
In a recent online post, Victor Boniface shared pictures of himself back in action at Bayer Leverkusen's training facility, engaging in a workout session in the gym on a Thursday.
The Instagram post showcasing Boniface's return to Bayer Leverkusen's training regimen has sparked reactions from Nigerians, including a supportive message from Victor Osimhen. Osimhen took to his Instagram story, stating, "Step by step ❤️ @boniface_jrn."
