Former Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka, shares his confidence in Arsenal's potential to clinch the Premier League title this season.
In an interview with German outlet Kicker, the Switzerland international expressed his belief in Mikel Arteta's squad, emphasizing their strong performance despite narrowly missing out on the title to Manchester City last season.
Xhaka remarked, "Sure. Of course, we saw Liverpool’s result against City. Of course, you are happy for that former club where you had seven wonderful years. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it last year, hopefully, it will work this time."
Xhaka commended Arsenal's recent form, highlighting their eight consecutive victories. He encouraged the team, stating, "They are doing a great job, winning eight out of eight games recently. Keep it up!"
It's worth noting that Xhaka departed Arsenal in the summer to join Bayer Leverkusen in a deal reportedly worth £21.4 million.
Despite leaving Arsenal, the 31-year-old midfielder is enjoying a successful season with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. Currently, Leverkusen sits comfortably atop the table, holding a 10-point lead over second-placed Bayern Munich. Xhaka's contributions have undoubtedly played a part in Leverkusen's impressive campaign.
