Renowned Nollywood actor, Mr Ibu, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy cherished by fans worldwide. The news, initially reported by Pulse, confirms his demise at Evercare Hospital in Lagos on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Mr Ibu's departure follows a period of health challenges, notably his battle with diseased blood cells and persistent blood clotting in his leg. Despite undergoing seven surgical procedures, the actor ultimately underwent the amputation of one leg in a courageous effort to prolong his life.
It was only last October that the beloved comic actor marked his 62nd birthday, albeit from a hospital bed, surrounded by loved ones. His indomitable spirit and enduring talent will forever be remembered in the annals of Nigerian cinema history.
