Nigerian Crossdresser Faces Six-Month Jail Term
In a recent judicial development, Idris Okuneye Olanrewaju, widely known as Bobrisky, has been handed a six-month prison sentence. This decision transpired today under the gavel of Justice Abimbola Awogboro at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos. The ruling pertains to Bobrisky's involvement in the mutilation of Naira notes.
Bobrisky, facing a four-count charge linked to the mutilation of Naira notes amounting to 490,000,00, reportedly opted to plead guilty to the charges brought against him. The prosecution presented compelling evidence, including videos depicting Bobrisky's lavish expenditure of money, notably during interactions with an artist named Segun Johnson and at a movie premiere held at IMAX Circle Mall.
In the aftermath of the sentencing, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) shared images capturing Bobrisky's departure from the court premises, luggage in tow. The visuals serve as a tangible aftermath of the legal repercussions facing the controversial figure.
