Manchester United's Harry Maguire to Miss FA Cup Final Due to Injury
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has announced that defender Harry Maguire will be unable to participate in the upcoming FA Cup final against Manchester City. Maguire has been struggling with a muscular injury since late April and has not yet fully recovered.
During a pre-match press conference, Ten Hag confirmed Maguire's unavailability, stating, "Harry Maguire is unavailable, but Mason Mount, Victor Lindelof, and Anthony Martial are available." When asked if Maguire's recovery had encountered a setback, Ten Hag explained, "I don't think so, no. It's just that he didn't make it and didn't heal as we had expected."
Maguire's absence from the FA Cup final is a significant loss for Manchester United, and his fitness race against time for Euro 2024 has become even more crucial. The England international will be eager to regain his fitness and return to the pitch as soon as possible to contribute to his team's success.
