Barcelona President Joan Laporta Reveals Hansi Flick's Desire to Permanently Sign João Félix and João Cancelo
Barcelona President Joan Laporta has disclosed that new coach Hansi Flick is keen on securing permanent deals for João Félix and João Cancelo. In a statement, Laporta confirmed, "We want both João Félix and João Cancelo to stay, Deco's working on it."
Laporta praised João Félix's exceptional quality, expressing his satisfaction with the player's performance this season. "João Félix's quality is something excellent, I'm happy with his season." He also revealed that Hansi Flick had previously desired to sign João Félix during his tenure at Bayern Munich.
João Cancelo joined Barcelona on a loan deal from Manchester City in January 2023, with an option to buy. Since his arrival, he has made 23 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists across all competitions.
João Félix, also on loan from Atlético Madrid, has impressed with his performances, scoring 7 goals and providing 4 assists in 18 appearances since his arrival in January 2023.
Laporta's confirmation suggests that Barcelona is eager to secure the services of both players on a permanent basis, with Deco working to finalize the deals.
