Barcelona President Joan Laporta Provides Update on Lewandowski and Roque
Barcelona President Joan Laporta has offered insight into the futures of Robert Lewandowski and Victor Roque, two of the club's high-profile strikers.
Regarding Lewandowski, Laporta revealed that the Polish international has turned down lucrative offers to remain at Barcelona, stating, "Robert Lewandowski has rejected important financial proposals to stay at Barcelona."
Lewandowski joined Barcelona in July 2022, signing a four-year contract for a transfer fee of €45 million. Since his arrival, he has made 46 appearances, scoring 26 goals across all competitions.
On the other hand, Laporta expressed optimism about Victor Roque's adaptation to the team, saying, "Victor Roque? He's adapting to our world, our club, and new environment, he's getting the right rhythm."
Roque joined Barcelona in January 2023, signing a five-year contract for a transfer fee of €17 million. Since his arrival, he has made 15 appearances, scoring 4 goals across all competitions.
Laporta's update suggests that while Lewandowski's future may be uncertain, Roque is settling into the team and finding his footing at the club.
