
England National Team Announces Squad Cuts Ahead of Euro 2024
The England national team has confirmed the departure of Curtis Jones and James Maddison from the training camp, following the decision to exclude them from the final squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament.
Curtis Jones, a midfielder for Liverpool, has made four appearances for the Three Lions, including two starts in the UEFA Nations League. James Maddison, a midfielder for Tottenhamhas earned 12 caps for England, scoring two goals in the UEFA Nations League and Euro 2024 qualifiers.
England's Euro 2024 campaign is set to commence on June 16 with a match against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen, followed by fixtures against Denmark on June 20 in Frankfurt and Slovenia on June 25 in Cologne.
The team's Group C fixtures are as follows:
- June 16: Serbia vs England (Gelsenkirchen, 8 pm UK time)
- June 20: Denmark vs England (Frankfurt, 5 pm UK time)
- June 25: England vs Slovenia (Cologne, 8 pm UK time)
