Aston Villa agrees transfer fee of £50m for Andre Onana from Everton

Aston Villa has reached a £50 million agreement with Everton for the transfer of Amadou Onana, with a sell-on clause included in the deal.

Sport writer Fabrizio Romano has hinted that the midfielder is set to join Aston Villa on a five-year contract, subject to a medical examination.

Onana has been a key player for Everton, making 72 appearances since joining from Lille in 2022.

Unai Emery is poised to add to combative midfielder to his Villa side heading into the new season following the exit of Douglas Luiz to Juventus.
