Former Spanish International Cesc Fabregas Appointed Head Coach of Como FC

Italian football club Como FC has announced the appointment of Cesc Fabregas as its permanent head coach, signing a four-year contract with the team. This development follows Fabregas' successful stint as interim head coach, which saw the team secure promotion to Serie A for the upcoming season.

Fabregas, 37, will be joined by Osian Roberts, who will serve as his assistant coach. Under Fabregas' leadership, Como FC finished second in Serie B, earning automatic promotion to the top tier of Italian football. The team's impressive performance was just three points shy of the league title, won by Parma FC.

In a statement, Mirwan Suwarso, official spokesperson for Como FC's ownership group, praised Fabregas' impact on the team, saying, "We are honored to officially appoint Cesc as head coach. His expertise, experience, and passion have already made a significant impact on the team's success and playing style."

Fabregas expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, stating, "I am thrilled to begin this new chapter as head coach and grateful to the ownership group for their trust in me. I share the team's ambitions and believe this is just the beginning of a successful journey for Como FC."

Como FC will face Juventus FC in their first match of the new season on August 19, marking their return to the top flight of Italian football.
