West Ham United have identified N'Golo Kanté as their top target and have approached Al-Ittihad to inquire about the midfielder's availability.
Kanté, a former Chelsea player, joined Al-Ittihad in 2023 after spending seven successful years at Stamford Bridge.
According to sources, Kanté is open to a return to London, despite being content with his current club. West Ham are keen to secure his services, recognizing the need for a defensive midfielder to strengthen their squad.
The Hammers are looking for a replacement for Kalvin Phillips, who failed to impress during his loan spell from Manchester City last season.
Reports suggest that West Ham will need to pay a transfer fee in the region of £20 million to secure Kanté's services. Despite his current estimated transfer value of €2.6m, Kanté's experience and quality would undoubtedly be a valuable asset to the West Ham squad. The club is eager to finalize the deal and bring the French midfielder back to the Premier League.
