Álvaro Morata Faces Injury Scare After Collision During Euros Celebration
Spain's forward Álvaro Morata received a scare after a stadium security guard collided with him following their dramatic victory over France in the Euro 2024 semifinals.
The incident occurred during post-match celebrations when a pitch invader entered the field to celebrate Spain's 2-1 win. Teenager Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo scored for Spain after France took an early lead through Randal Kolo Muani.
Security personnel, in pursuit of the fan, accidentally slipped and made contact with Morata's right leg. The Spanish striker was visibly in pain, clutching his leg after the collision.
While Morata's exact condition remains unclear, reports suggest it's a minor issue. Spain's coach, Luis de la Fuente, downplayed the severity, calling it a "knock" but confirmed Morata will be assessed on Wednesday.
