Crystal Palace Secure Loan Deal for Trevoh Chalobah as Chelsea Defender Excluded from Squad

Crystal Palace have secured an agreement to sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

The move comes as Chalobah, who has found himself increasingly sidelined under Chelsea's new management, seeks regular first-team football.

Chalobah has been excluded from Chelsea's squad for both their pre-season tour and their opening Premier League fixtures, signaling that he is no longer in the immediate plans of manager Enzo Maresca. Despite being a homegrown player with considerable potential, Chalobah has struggled to secure a spot in the current squad, prompting Chelsea to agree to a loan deal without an option to buy, ensuring his return to Stamford Bridge next summer.

At Crystal Palace, Chalobah is expected to bolster their defensive options following the departure of Joachim Andersen to Fulham. His versatility will be an asset to the team, as he can operate not only as a central defender but also in wide and midfield positions
