Dani Olmo made an impactful debut for Barcelona, scoring the decisive goal in a 2-1 comeback victory against Rayo Vallecano.

The match, which took place at the Vallecas Stadium, saw Barcelona trailing early after a goal from Unai López in the ninth minute. Despite a challenging first half, Barcelona's fortunes changed in the second half.

Pedri equalized for the Catalan side in the 60th minute with a well-placed shot following an assist from Raphinha.

Dani Olmo, who joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig during the summer, was brought on at halftime and eventually netted the winning goal in the 82nd minute. His low left-footed strike into the far corner, assisted by Lamine Yamal, sealed the victory for Barcelona.

Olmo's transfer to Barcelona was a significant move, bringing the 26-year-old Spanish international back to the club where he began his youth career at La Masia. His return to the club was delayed due to registration issues, but he made an immediate impact once cleared to play.

This win maintained Barcelona’s perfect start to the La Liga season, securing their third victory in as many games under new coach Hansi Flick. However, the victory was bittersweet, as young midfielder Marc Bernal suffered a knee injury in stoppage time.
