Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, recently demonstrated his commitment to philanthropy by distributing food items to those in need. Portable shared a video on Instagram in which he is seen providing noodles, spaghetti, and various other essential goods to individuals in his community.
However, his charitable actions have not been universally well-received. Critics have expressed skepticism, largely due to Portable's previous controversial statements.
An unnamed official remarked, “This your eye service no go work if you like go import one container of rice, share am, you’re cancelled.” This comment suggests that the official views Portable's actions as insincere or self-serving, indicating that no amount of material generosity can offset their negative perception of him.
Another commenter, Famous White FX, simply stated, “We don cancel Portable,” implying a complete dismissal of Portable's efforts due to past grievances.
Similarly, Femi Jobi1 expressed indifference with, “No one care, na you go dance to that song yourself.” This response reflects a belief that Portable's attempts at redemption through philanthropy are unlikely to change public opinion or impact his reputation significantly.
