Activist Aisha Yesufu has weighed in on the ongoing controversy involving esteemed lawyer Femi Falana and his son, rapper Folarin Falana, known as Falz.
Yesufu suggests that if the Falana family chooses to overlook their dispute with social critic Very Dark Man, it might inadvertently imply their guilt regarding the allegations made against them in a recently released audio recording. The implications of such an oversight could tarnish their reputations and diminish public confidence in their integrity.
Recently, Very Dark Man shared an audio recording purportedly featuring a conversation between Bobrisky and another individual. In the recording, Bobrisky claimed that Falz had contacted him, stating that his father, Femi Falana, could assist in securing a presidential pardon in exchange for a substantial sum of 10 million naira, aiming to clear Bobrisky’s name from any criminal accusations. This revelation has stirred significant discussion and debate across social media platforms.
In response to this situation, Yesufu took to X to express her astonishment at the prevailing attitudes surrounding the issue. She remarked, “In the last few days I have been aghast at the thinking of so many. Many think they own you when you speak against injustice or stand for someone.” Her words highlight the complexity of the public’s perception and the challenges faced by those who advocate for justice in a climate often marked by accusations and controversy.
Yesufu further elaborated on the potential consequences of the Falana family's decision to remain silent. She stated, “If the Falanas let this go unchallenged, the same people will say that they are guilty of what they are accused of.
